Welcome to Vision Net 2018 website!
The goal of computer vision is to make computers see the world around them. It has made incredible progress in the past decade. With the explosion of images and video on the web, dealing with the large amount of unorganized visual data available has become immensely challenging. Large search engines are being created to make sense out of this data. The Internet has become an increasingly important tool for computer vision research.
The Fifth International Symposium on Computer Vision and the Internet (VisionNet’18) aims to bring together leading researchers to take stock of the state of the art, identify key challenges, and propose new directions. VisionNet’18 is co-affiliated with Seventh International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI'18), Manipal, India. ICACCI'18 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE and IEEE Communications Society. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. The Conference is indexed by Scopus, DBLP and Google Scholar since 2012 and by Ei Compendex and Web of Science (THOMSON REUTERS Conference Proceedings Citation Index) since 2013.
The Conference will be held at PES Institute of Technology (South Campus), Bangalore, India during September 19-22, 2018. Bangalore is capital city of the Southern state of Karnataka, India.
