Mysore Palace

Mysore is the second largest city in the state of Karnataka, India. It is considered the cultural capital of the state and it is one of the cleanest cities in India. Mysore is the major tourist destination in South India and also Mysore Palace (Amba Vilas Palace) is one of the most visited monuments in India. It is also known as the City of Palaces because of the notable palaces such as Amba Vilas, Mysore Palace, Jaganmohana Palace, Rajendra Vilas, Lalitha Mahal and Jayalakshmi Vilas. The nearest international airport is Bengaluru (Bangalore) International Airport which is nearly 151 kilometers to Mysore. Mysore Airport, which is nearly 12 kilometers from the city, has SpiceJet flights to and from this airport connecting major cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai.

By Train
Mysore railway station is the city's main station and there are daily trains operating to and from Bangalore. There are several trains available between Bangalore and Mysore. The fastest train between Mysore and Chennai is the Shatabdi Express covering the journey of Bangalore-Mysore in 2 hours.
