Welcome to WCI 2015!

Proceedings of WCI-2015 are now available online in the ACM Digital Library

Women represent approximately 51% of the total population. Over the course of history, the demographics of the workforce have changed significantly. Women continue to advance, holding important roles and positions in both academia and industry. Although progress has been made, the precipitous journey is not yet complete. Global concerns about current and future roles of women in computing occupations gained more importance with the emerging information age.

The Third International Symposium on Women in Computing and Informatics (WCI-2015) will serve as a platform to explore the opportunities as well as the diverse challenges facing women in computing and allied areas. WCI-2015 provides a great opportunity to network with students, professionals, and researchers. The Third ediiton will be held in Kochi, Kerala, India during August 10-13, 2015. The Symposium is co-located with Fourth International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI-2015). WCI-2015 is organised in association with Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Trivandrum Professional Chapter, ACM Cochin Chapter, ACM Committee on Women in Computing (ACM-W) India and IWNN of INNS India - Regional Chapter.

All accepted and presented papers will be published in the proceedings and archived in the ACM Digital Library (ISBN No.  978-1-4503-3361-0) .
Kerala, God's Own Country, located on the Southwestern tip of India, enjoys unique geographical features that have made it one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Asia. Besides its famous languid network of backwaters, rice paddies, coconut groves, tea-covered hills, elegant houseboats and delicately spiced, taste-bud-tingling cuisine, Kerala is home to wild elephants, exotic birds and the odd tiger; and crazily vibrant traditions and snake-boat races.
