Call for Posters and Demonstrations
Third International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI 2014) will be held in Delhi, India at the venue of GCET, Greater Noida from 24 to 27 September 2014. ICACCI-2014 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Communications Society and IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society.
ICACCI is the yearly Asia's Flagship international conference. Since its inauguration in 2012, ICACCI has developed into a reputed conference and is well attended by experts in all aspects related to computing and information from all over the world. It is a premier conference, providing an excellent forum for exchange of ideas among interested researchers, students, developers, and practitioners in the areas of computing, communications, and informatics.
ICACCI-2014 includes Poster and Demo sessions. The goal is to provide opportunities for participants from academia and industry to present their latest developments in the interest areas of the conference. Interactive systems and novel applications are particularly welcome. Student researchers are encouraged to submit.
For each poster, authors should submit a two-four page extended abstract that provides sufficient technical details. The poster abstracts do not have to present completed work, but at the same time should provide enough concrete evidence to support the potential and validity of the proposed ideas.
Each demo submission must make clear which aspects of the system will be demonstrated, and how. All demonstration submissions should:
- Motivate the demonstrated concepts
- Describe the system and the technology
- Explain what features and scenarios will be demonstrated, and
- State the significance of the contribution.
We also encourage the authors of the demo papers to include a link to a short 2-min demonstration video for the reviewers to facilitate the evaluation of the quality of the demonstration proposal. The authors must demonstrate their system during the demo sessions.
Topics of interest are the same as research topics of ICACCI-2014 - http://icacci-conference.org/website/call-papers.
All poster and demonstration submissions must be within FIVE pages in the standard IEEE proceedings style.
Submissions should be made via EDAS conference management system. In submission, please select one of two tracks: ICACCI Demo Track or ICACCI Poster Track. All submissions must be written in English. Each accepted poster/demo paper will be allocated no more than FIVE pages in the conference proceedings.
Selection Process & Publication
The poster/demo papers will be reviewed as rigorously and are expected to have high quality just like regular papers. The main difference is that poster/demo session provides more interactive way to present work, and is particularly well suited for work-in-progress type of discussions.
Notification of acceptance/rejection of submitted posters and demos will be sent to the authors by e-mail. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for and attend the conference. All accepted papers MUST be presented at the conference by one of the authors, or, if none of the authors are able to attend, by a qualified surrogate.
The accepted and presented poster and demo papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore. Abstracts of accepted posters and demos will be distributed to conference participants.
The ICACCI 2014 will also run a best poster and best demo award competition. All posters and demos will be considered for the Best Poster Award. An independent review committee will select the winners at the conference.
The demo session will have power and wireless Internet connectivity available. Demo presenters are expected to bring with themselves everything else needed for their demo, such as hardware, laptops, etc. If a demonstration requires special arrangements, please send an email to the local organising committee at firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure it can be arranged.
