Second International Workshop on Energy Efficient Wireless Communications and Networking (EEWCN 2014)

http://icacci-conference.org/website/eewcn2014

As wireless networks have become an integral component of the modern communication infrastructure, energy efficiency has been become an important design consideration due to the limited battery life of mobile terminals. Recently energy efficient design of wireless networks has attracted a lot of attention and a wide range of topics are the target of extensive research work. Considerable research has been devoted to the low-power design of the entire network protocol stack of wireless networks in an effort to enhance energy efficiency. According to the GESI (Global E-Sustainability) study, the ICT sector contributes around 2% of global energy consumption. As part of the worldwide effort to reduce energy consumption, improving energy efficiency of telecommunication networks has received significant interest.Global energy consumption is currently one of the major concerns faced by governments worldwide, because of its significant environmental footprint and the eventual exhaustion of the major traditional energy sources.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Second International Workshop on Energy Efficient Wireless Communications and Networking (EEWCN 2014) invites original and unpublished contributions addressing solutions for energy efficient wireless communications and networking. Authors should submit their papers online using EDAS. Unregistered authors should first create an account on EDAS to log on. Further guidelines for submission are posted at: http://icacci-conference.org/website/call-papers

All papers that conform to submission guidelines will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. The manuscripts should be submitted in PDF format. Acceptance of papers will be communicated to authors by email. At least one full paying author of each accepted paper must register for the Conference before the indicated deadline. The accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases. Independently of the presentation type, all papers are included in the proceedings.
