Welcome to VisionNet’14!
The goal of computer vision is to make computers see the world around them. It has made incredible progress in the past decade. With the explosion of images and video on the web, dealing with the large amount of unorganized visual data available has become immensely challenging. Large search engines are being created to make sense out of this data. The Internet has become an increasingly important tool for computer vision research. The International Symposium on Computer Vision and the Internet (VisionNet’14) aims to bring together leading researchers to take stock of the state of the art, identify key challenges, and propose new directions. VisionNet’14 is co-located with Third International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI-2014), Delhi, India.
